Professor Constantina (Tina) Lekakou is a leading academic in energy and materials science at the University of Surrey's School of Mechanical Engineering Sciences. She heads the Functional and Energy Materials and Interfaces (FEMI) Group, focusing on multifunctional materials for energy storage, biomedical applications, and smart systems. Her expertise spans battery design, thermoelectric energy harvesting, and composite materials engineering.
Education: PhD (Chemical Engineering, Imperial College London), Dipl. Chemical Eng. (National Technical University of Athens). Professional credentials include CEng (Chartered Engineer) and MIMechE (Member of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers).
Research interests include:
