Constantin Zopounidis

Constantin Zopounidis is a Professor at the Department of Engineering Management, School of Production Engineering and Management, Technical University of Crete. He also serves as a Distinguished Research Professor at Audencia Group, Nantes School of Management. He leads the Financial Engineering Laboratory and has held roles such as Department Chairman (2001–2005). His expertise spans Financial Engineering, Financial Risk Management, and Multiple Criteria Decision Making, with a focus on sustainability and operational research.

Education: He holds a Doctorat D'État (1986) and D.E.A. (1982) in management science and financial management from the University of Paris-IX Dauphine, and a B.A. in Business Administration from the University of Macedonia (1981).

Research Interests: Zopounidis focuses on integrating sustainability into financial frameworks, decision-making methodologies, and ESG-driven evaluations. His work bridges theoretical models with practical applications in banking, corporate governance, and policy analysis.

Awards: He has received the Edgeworth-Pareto Award (2013) and membership in Spain’s Royal Academy of Economic and Finance Sciences. He is honored by institutions like the Decision Sciences Institute and International MCDM Society for contributions to decision analysis and sustainability.
