Connie Kersten serves as a Lecturer in the Department of Biology within the College of Engineering and Sciences at McNeese State University, with her office located in Frasch 238. She maintains active academic and clinical engagement through her dual expertise in biological sciences and nursing practice.
Dr. Kersten earned her MS and PhD from the University of Idaho, followed by an NIH Postdoctoral Fellowship at Texas Tech Medical School. She holds active membership in both the American Nurses Association and Louisiana State Nurses Association as a Registered Nurse (RN).
Her research centers on reproductive physiology and tissue regeneration, exploring cellular mechanisms in physiological systems with clinical applications. This work bridges laboratory science and nursing practice, emphasizing translational approaches to physiological disorders.
