Professor Colin Woodroffe is an Honorary Professor in the School of Science at the University of Wollongong, specializing in coastal geomorphology and sea-level change studies. His research focuses on coastal stratigraphy, coral reef vulnerability, mangrove ecosystems, and estuarine dynamics, with fieldwork across Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific. He contributed to the IPCC's 2007 report and authored influential books like Coasts: Form, Process and Evolution. As former Chair of the International Geographical Union's Commission on Coastal Systems, he leads interdisciplinary coastal studies.
