Colin Dubreuil is a Lecturer in Conservation Biology at the Faculty of Science and Engineering, University of Wolverhampton. Previously, he worked as a Laboratory Technician and Sessional Instructor at the University of Calgary. His academic journey includes a PhD in Anthropology (2019) and MA in Anthropology from the University of Calgary, with earlier degrees in Fine Arts and Natural Sciences.

Colin's research focuses on primate communication and bioacoustics, particularly analyzing vocal signal production, structure, and development in wild vervet monkeys and spider monkeys. He investigates acoustic sex differences, context-dependent vocal variation, and functional consequences of vocalizations through playback experiments.
His publications from 2015-2024 span topics in primate vocal behavior, alarm call analysis, zoo enrichment studies, and social communication mechanisms. As a lecturer, he teaches modules including Primate Conservation and Behaviour, Behavioural Ecology, and Mammal Diversity and Conservation.
