Colette Aguerre is a University Lecturer (Associate Professor) in Clinical Psychopathology at the University of Tours within the Faculty of Arts and Human Sciences, Department of Psychology. Authorized to Direct Research (HDR) and qualified for University Professor functions (16th section), she leads the University Diploma in 'Positive Psychology: health, well-being, quality of life' and serves as full member of the QualiPsy research laboratory (EE 1901).
Her research integrates clinical psychopathology, health psychology, and positive psychology with emphasis on cognitive-behavioral therapies (1st-3rd waves), chronic pain management (arthritis, fibromyalgia), and biopsychosocial factors for optimal health and resilience. She develops evidence-based interventions like the ABCD workshop for chronic pain and CARE program for well-being, focusing on motivational interviewing, mindfulness, and somatic approaches including somatic experiencing and polyvagal therapy.

Dr. Aguerre directs multiple subsidized research projects funded by INCa, SFETD, Roche Foundation, French Mutualité, and Centre region, while participating in PHRC clinical studies. As an HDR-qualified researcher, she supervises doctoral candidates and serves as expert for High Authority of Health (HAS), Biomedicine Agency, SFEMC, and IRESP. Her clinical practice combines CBT, DBT, ACT, schema therapy, and compassion-focused interventions (MSC, MBCL).
She co-founded and serves as vice-president of the French and Francophone Association of Positive Psychology (AffPP), while maintaining active roles in AFTCC, IRCCADE, and journal editorial boards including Bulletin de Psychologie and European Review of Applied Psychology.
