Clement Imbert is a Full Professor of Economics at Sciences Po (Paris), holding positions since 2023. Previously, he served as a Full Professor (2022-2023), Associate Professor (2020-2022), and Assistant Professor (2015-2020) at the University of Warwick. His research focuses on development economics, labor markets, public policy, and political economy, with affiliations to CEPR, J-PAL, and BREAD. He holds a PhD in Economics from the Paris School of Economics (2012) and completed his education at the Ecole Normale Supérieure de Cachan (2003-2007).
His research explores topics such as social program effectiveness, migration impacts, tax compliance, and governance reforms. Notable contributions include experimental studies on India’s employment guarantee schemes, tax compliance in Belgium, and urbanization effects in Ethiopia. He has received grants from institutions like the International Growth Center and the European Union, and his work appears in top journals like the American Economic Review and the Journal of Development Economics.
