Clemens Verhoosel is an Associate Professor in Computational Methods for Model- and Data-Driven Engineering at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e), specializing in the Department of Mechanical Engineering. His research focuses on numerical methods for engineering applications, including isogeometric analysis, immersed methods for complex geometries, and uncertainty quantification. He holds a prestigious NWO Veni Grant (2011) and has contributed to open-source tools like the Nutils toolkit.
Education:
- MSc (with honors) in Aerospace Engineering from TU Delft (2005)
- PhD in Computational Mechanics from TU Delft (2009, cum laude)
- Postdoctoral research at the University of Texas at Austin (2009-2010)

- Scan-based immersed isogeometric analysis
- Uncertainty quantification and Bayesian inference
- Fluid-structure interaction
- Multiphase flow and fracture mechanics
