Clemens Fellmann

Clemens Fellmann is a Scientific Assistant at Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts, working at the intersection of visual art, performance, and research. His practice encompasses sculpture, installation, text, and choreography, with a focus on movement notation and interdisciplinary experimentation. He holds an MA in Art from HSLU and trained as a dancer/performer across institutions in Geneva, Leipzig, and Lucerne.

Fellmann's research investigates formal concepts, non-systems, and patterns that generate emergent narratives. Key interests include:

• Choreographic scripts and their limitations
• Spatial interactions in everyday environments
• Translation methodologies between graphic/dance forms
• Architectural interventions using textiles

His publications analyze art education frameworks and intermedia practices, emphasizing experimental pedagogy and collaborative creation. Artistic outputs explore tensions between intimacy/publicness and challenge perceptions of routine choreographies.

He received the Max von Moos Award (2022) for his video installation Playing a Body. Additional engagements include:

• Co-directing NICHE Performance Festival (Zug, 2024)
