معرفی
Prof. Claudio Castelnovo is a leading theoretical physicist at the University of Cambridge, affiliated with the TCM Group in the Department of Physics and Trinity College. His research focuses on emergent phenomena in many-body systems, bridging classical and quantum statistical mechanics.
- Emergent and out-of-equilibrium behaviors
- Quantum spin liquids and frustrated magnetism
- Topological order and quantum computing
His work explores hard constraints in dimer/vertex models, kinematic constraints, glassiness, and photoinduced phases. He actively supervises PhD students through collaborations with the Max Planck Graduate Centre and EPSRC CDT in Superconductivity.
Scientific Awards:
- Fellow of Trinity College
Castelnovo's recent publications highlight advances in quantum spin ice, frustrated magnets, and topological phase transitions. His group investigates phenomena like vison crystals, dynamical fractals, and Anderson localization of quasiparticles.
