She serves as Head of Fiction Concentration and Interim Director of the Graduate Producing Program. Myers' research and creative interests focus on identity construction, resilience narratives, military experiences, and women's stories. Her work bridges fiction and documentary, exploring how personal and collective identities are shaped through challenging circumstances. She particularly examines the civilian-military divide and the complexities of women's experiences within military contexts, bringing academic rigor to her filmmaking practice.
Her filmography demonstrates remarkable thematic consistency across both fiction and documentary formats. Recent works like 'The Bad Guardian' (2024) and 'The Test' (2023) continue her exploration of identity and resilience, while building on earlier successes like 'Above the Shadows' (2019) and 'Fort Bliss' (2014).
