Claudia Herrera

Dr. Claudia Herrera is an Assistant Professor in PT Programs at the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences, affiliated with the College of Health Sciences. She holds a Doctor of Science in Physical Therapy from Texas Tech University and a Master of Science in Physical Therapy from Quinnipiac University. Her clinical specialties include manual therapy and orthopedics.

Her research focuses on orthopedics, sports medicine, and movement science, with special interest in overuse injuries in endurance sports. As a triathlete and former soccer coach, she incorporates athletic perspectives into her medical education approach.

Dr. Herrera emphasizes the relationship between quality movement and life quality, educating patients and students from diverse backgrounds to create personalized health journeys. Her professional experience spans home care, outpatient, and inpatient services across Mexico and South America.
