Claudia Drawe

Dr. Claudia Drawe serves as a Research Fellow and Head of the Central Internship Office at the Faculty of Humanities, University of Duisburg-Essen. She has taught specialized courses in Anglistik with a focus on South Africa and postcolonial studies since 2002, establishing herself as a key contributor to postcolonial literary scholarship.

Her educational background includes a Magister degree in English Studies, German Studies, and General and Comparative Literature, followed by a PhD in English Literary Studies. This foundation underpins her expertise in postcolonial narratives and South African cultural production.

Dr. Drawe's research centers on Postcolonial Studies, African Literature, and South African Literature, with particular emphasis on crime fiction, memory/trauma studies, and multicultural identity formation.
