Claudia Caballini

Claudia Caballini is a Fixed-term tenure-track Assistant Professor in the Department of Environment, Land and Infrastructure Engineering (DIATI) at the Polytechnic University of Turin, Italy. Her work spans transport systems, logistics, and sustainable mobility, with strong industry collaboration.

Her research focuses on transport systems, particularly port logistics, freight transport, intermodality, and Mobility as a Service (MaaS). She applies simulation and optimization techniques to improve container terminal operations, truck appointment systems, and port safety. Her work also addresses sustainable urban mobility, GHG emissions in freight transport, and the electrification of port equipment.

Recent publications highlight trends in maritime passenger transport centrality, electric vehicle adoption in cities, and tools for calculating freight emissions. These reflect a strong commitment to data-driven, sustainable transport solutions.
