Clare Kirtley is a Lecturer at the School of Psychology within the University of Aberdeen. Her research focuses on eye movement analysis, cognitive psychology, and multimodal perception, particularly in comic reading and object memory studies.
Dr. Kirtley's research examines how humans integrate words and images through eye-tracking, with specializations in active vision, embodied cognition, and visual research methodologies. Her recent work includes studies on narrative navigation in comics and cognitive strategies for information processing.
- Collaborated with Professor Ben Tatler (University of Dundee) on eye-tracking projects (2015-2018)

Her publications (2013-2025) demonstrate consistent contributions to cognitive psychology, visual perception, and experimental design domains.
