Clare Churcher is a Senior Lecturer in Adult Nursing and Award Leader for the Postgraduate Certificate in Palliative Care at the University of South Wales. She is affiliated with the Faculty of Life Sciences and Education. Previously, she served as a Gynaecological Oncology Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) from 2011-2018 and a Staff Nurse at Velindre Cancer Centre from 2008-2011.
Education: Completed adult nurse training at the University of Glamorgan (now University of South Wales) from September 2008 to 2011.
Research & Expertise: Specializes in palliative care, oncology nursing, ethical issues in healthcare, and holistic patient care. Her professional interests include bereavement support, communication strategies in healthcare, and end-of-life care practices.
Responsibilities: Leads postgraduate palliative care education programs and maintains clinical connections through her prior oncology nursing roles. Acts as a bridge between clinical practice and academic training in adult nursing.
