Clare Chapman

Clare Chapman is a Senior Lecturer in Accounting & Finance at Bristol Business School, University of the West of England (UWE Bristol). She joined the department full-time in 2023 and teaches undergraduate programs, serving as Module Leader for Foundation Year students. Her expertise includes professional and personal development, curriculum design, and Work Integrated Learning. Clare has a unique background in Broadcast Journalism with the BBC and 16 years of professional experience overseas, primarily in the Middle East, North America, and The Netherlands.

Her research focuses on the efficiency and impact of 1:1 career coaching versus large-scale embedded professional development in higher education curricula. Clare has produced educational films for UWE Bristol, including modules on employability, placement experiences, and graduate advice. She holds a BA(Hons), MA in Professional Development, PG Diploma in Careers Guidance, and a PGT in Arabic.

Clare's international partnerships and industry experience enrich her teaching. She is available for student consultations on Wednesdays (12:00-14:00) via Microsoft Teams or room 3X104 at UWE Bristol.
