Clara S Moore

Clara S Moore is a Professor of Biology at Franklin & Marshall College, where she has worked since 2002. She served as Chair of the Biology Department (2015-2018) and Program Chair of Public Health (2021-2023). Her research focuses on developmental disruptions in Down syndrome mouse models.

Her research examines skeletal, cardiac, and immune system abnormalities in Ts65Dn mice, with particular interest in prenatal and neonatal lethality mechanisms. Using mouse models, she investigates trisomy-induced disruptions across multiple organ systems.

Moore's publications demonstrate sustained research activity in Down syndrome mouse models, with notable emphasis on cardiovascular and skeletal developmental anomalies. Her work spans molecular genetics to whole-organism phenotyping.
