Claire Pike

Claire Pike is the Pro Vice-Chancellor (Education Enhancement) at Anglia Ruskin University (ARU), leading curriculum development, academic quality, and student experience initiatives. She holds a PhD in epigenetics from the University of Cambridge and has extensive academic leadership roles, including supervising PhD students and developing accredited degree programs. Her work bridges molecular biology and education innovation.

• Research Focus: Epigenetic regulation, breast cancer genetics, drug resistance, and effective pedagogies

Her research interests include molecular mechanisms of chemotherapeutic resistance, diversity in education, and strategies to enhance student learning across diverse populations. She chairs key committees like the Royal Society of Biology’s Diversity and Inclusion Network and led ARU’s successful 2023 Teaching Excellence Framework submission.
