معرفی
Claire Moore is an Associate Lecturer in Geospatial Sciences at Flinders University. A veterinarian by background, she transitioned into geospatial sciences after observing spatial epidemiology differences between Australia and the UK. She holds a Master of Veterinary Studies in Conservation Medicine and a Master of Geospatial Information Science.
Her research interests focus on integrating geospatial analysis into ecology, wildlife health, and environmental studies. She emphasizes spatial patterns in disease transmission, animal ecology, and applications in groundwater, coastal change, and paleontology. She coordinates courses like GIST8001 (Geospatial Information Systems) and teaches topics ranging from field data acquisition to biodiversity impacts.
Moore remains active in veterinary practice, working one day weekly at Cleland Wildlife Park. She is part of a multidisciplinary team advocating for spatial awareness across disciplines and frequently collaborates on projects linking animal, human, and environmental health through a One Health framework.
