Claire Moon

Dr. Claire Moon is Associate Professor in the Department of Sociology at LSE, specializing in political reconciliation, human rights, and forensic humanitarianism. Her research examines mass grave exhumations, transitional justice mechanisms, and the politics of atrocity.

She currently leads the Wellcome Trust-funded project 'Human Rights, Human Remains' investigating forensic engagements with mass graves. Her teaching includes courses on atrocity, justice, and political reconciliation.

Dr. Moon has professional training in forensic anthropology and collaborates with organizations supporting families of the disappeared.
