معرفی
Professor Claire Lenehan is a distinguished academic at Flinders University, serving as Director of the Flinders Factory of Future and affiliated with the College of Science and Engineering. Her expertise spans analytical and forensic chemistry, with a focus on material characterization, environmental health, and cultural heritage analysis. She holds a PhD in Sequential Injection and Liquid Chromatography from Deakin University (2003).
Research Interests: Professor Lenehan's work bridges forensic science, analytical chemistry, and environmental studies. Key areas include tattoo ink degradation mechanisms, ochre provenance analysis using spectroscopy, and the environmental impact of pesticides. She pioneers methods combining infrared spectroscopy and neutron activation analysis for cultural heritage preservation.
Professional Recognition: Awards include the RACI Robert Cattrall Medal (2011), Flinders University Teaching Excellence Award (2010), and the National Institute for Forensic Science Best Book Chapter Award (2017). She chairs the Australian Solar Thermal Research Institute and serves on AINSE Council.
Advising & Grants: Supervised over 15 PhD/Master’s students, including 7 since 2015. Her research is supported by grants focusing on forensic chemistry, environmental monitoring, and cultural heritage projects. Active in industry collaborations, notably with ANSTO and GNS Science.
Labs & Teams: Leads the Tattoo Ink Degradation Team (with Batool Aljubran) and the Ochre Provenance Group (Jolene Anthony). Collaborates internationally on nuclear forensics and sustainable materials research.
