Claire Duchesne is an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Education. Her research focuses on adult learning and development, transformative learning, professional development of teachers and career counselors, and qualitative research methods. She also explores the professional integration of immigrant educators and the active offering of French-language services.
- Education: Doctorate in Education (2004) from Université du Québec à Montréal; Master’s in Education - Psychopedagogy (1996) and Bachelor’s in Education - Orthopedagogy (1990) from Université d'Ottawa and Université du Québec à Hull respectively.
- Teaching: Courses include EDU 5600: Adult Learning, EDU 6600: Adult Educators and Contexts of Training, and EDU 6604: Adult Development, all delivered in a hybrid format.
- Supervision: Currently supervises Lucie Le Callonnec in research related to adult education and apprenticeship.
