Claire Dooley is a Lecturer (Teaching) in Spatial Data Science at the Centre for Advanced Spatial Analysis, University College London. Her academic journey includes a DPhil in Ecology from the University of Oxford and an MSc in Conservation and Biodiversity from the University of Exeter. She holds a BSc in Chemistry with Maths from University College London.
Previously, she served as an Assistant Professor at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (2021-2024) and held Research Fellow positions at the University of Southampton (2014-2021). Her research focuses on spatial demography, mobility, health, and well-being, particularly in populations affected by conflict, extreme weather events, and humanitarian crises. She collaborates with NGOs like UNFPA, IOM, and REACH to advance geospatial methods for addressing global challenges.
