Her research centers on lifestyle medicine interventions for chronic disease prevention, with primary focus on physical activity and nutrition protocols for weight management in women. Current investigations examine protein timing effects on cognitive performance in military contexts, while historical work analyzes commercial diet programs, macronutrient cycling, and resistance training efficacy. She emphasizes a whole-health approach in teaching, integrating self-efficacy development and workplace professionalism.
Publication trends reveal consistent investigation of diet-exercise synergies in obese women since 2011, with recent expansion into military applications. Core themes include body composition changes (particularly android/gynoid fat distribution), metabolic marker responses, and inflammatory biomarker modulation through structured interventions. The 2025 cognition study marks a novel military health application of her nutritional expertise.
