Cindy Dabney

Cindy Dabney is an Adjunct Lecturer in Law and Associate Librarian for Outreach Services at the Jerome Hall Law Library of Indiana University Maurer School of Law. Her work bridges legal education, information science, and outreach, serving as a liaison for non-law students and faculty interested in legal research. She teaches in the Legal Research and Writing Program and contributes to curriculum development through interactive digital tools.

Her research interests focus on legal research methodologies, law librarianship, and marketing strategies for academic libraries. She has explored the evolution of citators, innovative uses of social media in legal education, and the creation of instructional videos for legal research.

Cindy has published extensively on topics related to law libraries, including a white paper on outreach and marketing, and two interactive lessons for the Center for Computer-Assisted Legal Instruction. Her work reflects a commitment to enhancing legal education through digital tools and outreach initiatives.

She received the Jacqueline Fessard Johnson Distinguished Service Award in 2015. Her professional affiliations include the American Association of Law Libraries.
