Cigdem Beyan-Dep is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Verona. She holds roles in governance, including membership in the Faculty Board of PhD in Computer Science and the Computer Science Teaching Committee. Her research focuses on computer vision, machine learning, and affective computing, with applications in healthcare, social robotics, and human-computer interaction.
She regularly publishes in top-tier conferences and journals and serves as an Area Chair in her fields. Research interests include multimodal learning, domain adaptation, and generative models. Teaching includes modules on AI, machine learning, and HCI. She leads the Vision, Images, Patterns and Signals (VIPS) research group, which develops AI-driven solutions for signal analysis and biomedical data.
She actively contributes to organizing conferences in computer vision and biometrics. Recent projects include the TALIM initiative addressing adaptive learning in multimodal data. Office hours are scheduled via email coordination.
