معرفی
Ciaran Seath is an Assistant Professor of Chemistry at the University of Florida's Wertheim UF Scripps Institute in Jupiter, Florida. He completed his PhD in Chemistry at the University of Strathclyde (2017) and held postdoctoral positions at Emory University and Princeton University. His laboratory focuses on developing chemical biology tools to study protein-biomolecule interactions in disease contexts.
Research interests span:
- Chemical Biology: Proximity labeling, photochemical methods, and chromatin interactome analysis.
- Therapeutic Development: Target validation for pediatric brain tumors and translational science.
- Methodology: Advanced techniques for mapping subcellular processes and epigenetic regulation.
Recent publications (2019–2025) emphasize proximity labeling technologies, chromatin biology, photoredox catalysis, and glycoprotein regulation. Trends include high-resolution spatial mapping, red-light photocatalysis, and applications in oncology/virology.
Active grants support work in chromatin chemical biology (NIH, Pfizer) and photocatalytic methods (American Chemical Society). He directs the Seath Lab, which specializes in subcellular technologies for translational research.
