Chuwen Chen is a Research Fellow at the Department of Health Science and Technology within the Faculty of Medicine at Aalborg University, Denmark. She is affiliated with the Pain and Motor System Plasticity Center for Neuroplasticity and Pain and holds a prestigious Marie Sklodowska-Curie Fellowship.
Her research focuses on chronic pain mechanisms, neuromodulation techniques, and neuroplasticity in motor systems. She investigates how plasticity in the motor system relates to pain conditions, aiming to develop innovative neuromodulation therapies through frontier research approaches.
Dr. Chen is actively contributing to the EU Horizon 2020 Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions project FRESCO4NoPain (2025-2029), which develops advanced neuromodulation competences for chronic pain management and trains doctoral candidates in cutting-edge research methodologies.
Her scientific recognition includes:
- Marie Sklodowska-Curie Fellowship
She collaborates within the Pain and Motor System Plasticity Center, working alongside international researchers to advance understanding of pain mechanisms and develop novel therapeutic interventions through interdisciplinary neuroplasticity research.
