Chunlei Yang is a Senior Lecturer in Management Accounting at the University of Manchester's Alliance Manchester Business School, within the Accounting & Finance department. She holds a PhD, MSc, and BA in Accounting from Manchester and Beijing universities. Her research focuses on the intersection of accounting with spatial dynamics, organizational change, and governance in Chinese state-owned enterprises (SOEs), employing qualitative case study methodologies. She actively explores how digital platforms and surveillance impact organizational morality and processes. Her recent work emphasizes place-space duality in accounting practices and the financialization of SOEs.
