Chuck Morris serves as the founder and director of Colorado State University's Music Business Program within the College of Business, a position he has held for approximately four years. A legendary figure in the music industry with over 50 years of experience, Morris transitioned from managing iconic artists like The Eagles and ZZ Top to mentoring the next generation of music professionals at CSU.
His research and teaching focus on practical music industry education, emphasizing real-world experience through campus events and industry connections. Morris champions the philosophy that students must follow their passion rather than monetary gain, drawing from his own career trajectory from Boulder club promoter to international music executive. The program has successfully placed graduates at major companies including AEG and William Morris in Nashville.

His mentorship philosophy centers on getting students "in the front door" of the industry through part-time roles at radio stations, record stores, or campus venues. Morris is currently authoring his autobiography titled "From Brooklyn to Boulder: The Saga of a Rock Promoter" and continues to pursue bringing stadium-level acts to Hughes Stadium.
