Chuck Daniels

Chuck Daniels is affiliated with The Ohio State University as a Lecturer in the Department of Microbiology. He served as Primary Instructor for the Microbio 2200 course (Phage Genomics/Bioinformatics) during Spring Semester 2016 under the HHMI SEA-PHAGES program, guiding 17 students in in silico research using Mycobacterium smegmatis as the host bacterium.

His research focuses on Bioinformatics and Genomics within Microbiology, specifically advancing phage genomics and evolutionary science through computational methods. This work aligns with the SEA-PHAGES initiative's mission to integrate bacteriophage discovery into undergraduate education.
