Chu Yao is an **Adjunct Senior Research Fellow** at Monash University's Department of Gastroenterology and an Advanced Practising Gastroenterology Dietitian at Eastern Health. She holds a PhD (2017) focused on gut microbial function and gaseous biomarkers in gastrointestinal diseases. Her research emphasizes dietary therapies for ulcerative colitis, pouch-related symptoms, and the role of protein fermentation in gut health.
