Dr Christy Wensley is a Leverhulme Early Career Fellow at the Faculty of English Language & Literature, University of Oxford. Her research focuses on race, Blackness, and literary form in transatlantic contexts, with a specialization in Henry James and his influence on Black writers like James Baldwin and Stuart Hall. She is completing a monograph exploring Blackness as a 'hidden subject' in James's work and a new project analyzing Baldwin and Hall's critical engagements with Jamesian thought.
