Christos Laoudias is a Research Lecturer at the KIOS Research and Innovation Center of Excellence and the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Cyprus. He holds a PhD in Computer Engineering from the University of Cyprus (2014) and a Diploma in Computer Engineering and Informatics from the University of Patras (2003).
His research encompasses mobile computing, positioning technologies, and cybersecurity for critical infrastructures. Current projects focus on developing secure positioning systems, indoor navigation solutions, and cyber-physical security frameworks for automated systems and healthcare data exchange.
Laoudias leads research teams in EU-funded projects including CUREX (secure health data exchange) and CARAMEL (AI-based cybersecurity for connected vehicles). His publication record demonstrates consistent innovation in location-based services and infrastructure protection, with recent work expanding into drone-based safety systems and digital twins for infrastructure management.
