Christopher Stone is a Lecturer at the School of Computing, Edinburgh Napier University. He completed his PhD (2015-2020) focusing on combinatorial optimisation via graph-based approaches under supervisors Prof Emma Hart and Prof Ben Paechter. His research explores automated methods for solving complex optimisation problems.
Research interests include:
- Development of hyper-heuristic frameworks for cross-domain problem solving
- Application of grammatical evolution to generate constructive heuristics
- Graph-based approaches for combinatorial optimisation scenarios
- Computational methods for evolutionary algorithms
