Christopher Sheppard

Dr. Christopher Sheppard is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Central Florida's College of Sciences. He holds a PhD in clinical psychology from Fielding Graduate University and is licensed to practice in Florida.

His research focuses on trauma spectrum disorders treatment, with expertise in dialectic behavioral therapy and cognitive processing therapy. He has conducted studies on burdensomeness, suicidality, distress tolerance, mental health provider attitudes, cannabis use, and anxiety.

Dr. Sheppard has received recognition for his service to military intensive outpatient programs from the American Red Cross and U.S. Army Volunteer Corps.
