Christopher Schmitz

Christopher Schmitz is a Teaching Professor at the University of Illinois' Electrical & Computer Engineering Department since 2021. He has served as Chief Undergraduate Advisor since 2012 and Course Director for ECE 110: Intro to Electronics. His research focuses on adaptive signal processing, wireless communication, and improving STEM education through experiential learning. He co-leads the WaggleNet project, which uses wireless sensors to monitor honeybee colonies.
