Professor Christopher Saker holds a Professorship in the School of Mathematics, Statistics and Actuarial Science (SMSAS) at the University of Essex. He has served as Deputy Head of Mathematical Sciences since 2016 and Employability Development Director since 2018. His roles include HE Liaison Coordinator for the Advanced Mathematics Support Programme (AMSP), focusing on 16-19 enrichment and university collaboration.
Qualifications: PhD (Pure Mathematics, University of Essex, 2004); PGCE (Primary Education, Canterbury Christ Church University, 1998); BSc (Hons, University of Essex, 1997).
Research interests center on mathematics education, curriculum development, and pedagogical innovation in higher education. His work emphasizes bridging school and university mathematics through enrichment programs.
