This work bridges virtual characters, physical social robots, and VR systems through interdisciplinary approaches in HCI, computer graphics, and affective computing.
Peters has secured major funding including EU FP6 HUMAINE (€4.95M), CALLAS (€9.5M), Science Foundation Ireland METROPOLIS (€2.5M), and serves as KTH Principal Investigator for Horizon 2020 projects ProsocialLearn (€4.2M), ANIMATAS (€3.9M), and CLIPE (€4M).
He leads the Embodied Social Agents Lab (ESAL) focused on developing and testing social agent technologies across physical and virtual environments.
