Christopher P. Taylor

Christopher P. Taylor, PhD is an Associate Professor of Vision Sciences at the New England College of Optometry. His expertise spans Biostatistics, Neuroscience, and Psychophysics with a focus on Myopia and Visual Perception. He holds a PhD in Psychology, Neuroscience, and Behavior from McMaster University and a BSc (Hons) with Distinction from University College, University of Toronto.

Research interests include Aging, Emmetropization, and Individual differences in visual development. His notable work includes a 2021 U.S. Patent Application on balanced cone excitation to inhibit myopia progression. Awards include the 2020 Emerging Vision Scientist Award and a 2003 Travel Award from the Vision Sciences Society.
