Christopher Noel

Dr. Christopher Noel is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice and Administration at the Wegmans School of Pharmacy, University of Rochester. He practices at the Rochester Psychiatric Center and previously at the University of Rochester Medical Center's medicine psychiatry unit. His academic roles include teaching and precepting pharmacy students during clinical rotations. Dr. Noel holds certifications as an Apple Teacher and Board Certified Psychiatric Pharmacist.

He completed a Pharm.D. from Drake University (2010), followed by PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at Saint Barnabas Behavioral Health Center and PGY-2 Psychiatric Pharmacy Residency at the Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center. He joined the Wegmans faculty in 2014.

His research focuses on novel schizophrenia treatments and optimizing antipsychotic medication dosing strategies. He contributed to Project ECHO® GEMH, a multi-disciplinary team addressing geriatric mental health cases across upstate New York. His work emphasizes patient-centered care, therapeutic drug monitoring, and suicide prevention through standardized patient simulations.

Dr. Noel’s publications span topics like antipsychotic drug monitoring, medical cannabis in psychiatric care, and the impact of stress in academic settings. His academic contributions blend clinical practice, education, and research to enhance mental health outcomes.
