Christopher Lan is a Professor in the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering at the University of Ottawa, within the Faculty of Engineering. He holds a PhD in biochemical engineering from Western University (2001) and an M.Sc. from Jiangnan University, China. His research focuses on biotechnology, membrane technology, and thermodynamics, with emphasis on microalgae cultivation for biofuels, CO2 mitigation, membrane-assisted cooling, and biopharmaceutical production using recombinant microorganisms.
