Christopher Kinsella is an Honorary Professorial Fellow at the Lancaster University Management School, affiliated with the Entrepreneurship and Strategy department. With a distinguished career as a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Finance Director (FD), he has held strategic and operational roles in major UK and USA organizations such as TI Automotive, GE, and PwC. His expertise spans finance, corporate governance, international business, and strategic leadership.
His professional qualifications include BA, MA, MBA and fellowships in prestigious institutions like the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) and the Royal Society of Arts (FRSA). He has led large-scale financial transformations, including a £1 billion management buyout, and has served as a board director for over a decade. Currently, he acts as an advisor and consultant across sectors such as non-profits, healthcare, and education.
Christopher has held prominent non-executive directorships and board positions in the NHS, universities, government departments, and public limited companies (plcs). He previously served as the Chief Executive of the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) and contributed to its research and public discourse on management and leadership. His work in organizations like the British Council, Ofcom, and Homes England highlights his cross-sectoral impact on financial strategy and policy.
