Christopher Keep is an Associate Professor in the Department of English and Writing Studies at Western University, serving as the Film Studies Program Director. He holds a Ph.D. from Queen's University and has been recognized with prestigious teaching awards, including the Edward G. Pleva Award (2010-11) and the Bank of Nova Scotia Excellence Award (2002-03). His research focuses on Victorian literature and culture, particularly intersections between technology and society, including new communication technologies like the typewriter and telegraph. He also explores apocalyptic narratives, electronic literature, and the Society for Psychical Research's impact on knowledge systems.

Research interests span Victorian science and culture, occult media, disability studies, and gender theory. His work often bridges literary analysis with technological and social histories.
