Christopher Joyce is Professor of Ecology at the University of Brighton. His research investigates wetlands in changing environments, focusing on European wet grasslands. He examines ecological impacts of environmental changes and sustainable management challenges under climate change threats.
Research interests center on wetland ecosystems, their global importance for biodiversity, flood protection, and water purification, and the threats they face from drainage, agricultural intensification, and abandonment.
