Christopher Flynn

Dr. Christopher Flynn is an OzGrav Postdoctoral Researcher at Swinburne University of Technology's School of Science, Computing and Emerging Technologies. His research focuses on astronomical sciences, space sciences, and particle physics with specializations in Galactic Archaeology, solar twin stars, and fast radio bursts. He actively supervises multiple PhD candidates exploring topics such as cosmic distance measurements, transient phenomena, and fundamental constant variations.

Research Interests:

• Probing cosmic evolution through Galactic Archaeology
• Studying solar twin stars to detect fundamental constant variations
• Mapping the Universe using Fast Radio Bursts
• Investigating systematic uncertainties in astronomical distance measurements

Supervision & Grants:

• Guided 7 doctoral projects since 2017, including studies on radio transients and solar twins.

Labs/Teams: Collaborates within OzGrav (Australian Research Council Centre of Excellence for Gravitational Wave Discovery) and the School's astrophysics research groups.
