Christopher Fasano is the Pattee Professor and Chair of the Physics and Engineering department at Monmouth College. He holds a prestigious academic position with extensive research and teaching experience. His work includes developing agricultural system models during a 16-month term with Farmer’s Business Network.

- B.S. in Physics, University of Notre Dame (1983)
- M.S. and Ph.D. in Theoretical Physics, University of Chicago (1987, 1989)
Research interests focus on theoretical nuclear physics, high-performance computing, and atmospheric physics. He has expertise in computationally intensive problems and applied systems modeling. Chris has been recognized with multiple awards for teaching and scholarship, including the Hatch Series of Awards and the Gregor Wentzel Prize for teaching excellence.
His career includes postdoctoral research at the Paul Scherrer Institute (Switzerland) and the University of Pittsburgh, as well as teaching roles at the University of Chicago and Francis Marion University.
