Christopher F. Chyba is a professor of astrophysics and international affairs at Princeton University. He previously served as the director of Princeton's Program on Science and Global Security and was an associate professor at Stanford University, where he co-directed the Center for International Security and Cooperation and held the Sagan Chair at the SETI Institute.

Chyba co-chairs the American Academy of Arts and Sciences initiative "Meeting the Challenges of the New Nuclear Age" and has contributed to biodefense policy through PCAST working groups.
