Christopher Drupieski is a Professor in the Department of Mathematical Sciences at DePaul University's College of Science and Health in Chicago, Illinois. He earned his PhD in Mathematics from the University of Virginia in 2009, followed by three years as a VIGRE Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Georgia before joining DePaul University in 2012. He was promoted to Associate Professor with tenure in 2016 and to Professor in 2023. In Academic Year 2025-2026, he serves as the Secretary of the DePaul University Faculty Council.

Dr. Drupieski's research focuses on the representation theory and cohomology of algebraic groups and related structures. His work spans various mathematical objects including Lie algebras, finite group schemes, finite groups of Lie type, quantized enveloping algebras, Lie superalgebras, and Hopf algebras. He is particularly interested in the representation-theoretic and cohomological connections between these different algebraic structures, and how these connections can be exploited for computations. His research has been supported by several grants, including a Simons Collaboration Grant for Mathematicians ($35,000) from 2016-2023.
His publication record shows a consistent focus on support varieties, cohomology, and representation theory of algebraic structures, particularly with emphasis on Lie superalgebras and finite supergroup schemes in recent years. His work often involves collaboration with Jonathan R. Kujawa, with whom he has published numerous papers.
